About the Event
Book Here on Dorset Entrepreneurs Club's Eventbrite page.
In this event, we will have 2-3 speakers sharing their biggest mistakes and failures before finding success. Allowing everyone to learn from them and hopefully avoid making the same mistakes.
Our speakers will share:
*What went wrong
*How it affected them
*What they learnt from it to avoid happening again, and how they progressed forward
Each talk will finish with some time for Q&A
These stories are designed to help you embrace mistakes, failures and progression as an important part of your entrepreneurial journey.
Maybe this event will be a failure, who knows...
About our speakers:
1. Mark Masters - Mark runs a successful marketing consultancy and learning community called You Are The Media. He will share stories of deleting the entire database by mistake, people walking out of events and power cuts causing havoc to paid occasions.
2. Giles Cooper - Giles is an ex-professional tennis player and has a portfolio of Dorset businesses ranging from properties, a loft bar & live lounge, barbers and salons, coffee shops, and a tattoo parlour. He will share some past mistakes, including getting into £1 million of debt and starting over again.
3. Becks Beere – After a start-up failure and trusting the wrong investor, Becks built several successful businesses. One of which is staring at the abyss of failure in the wake of both a pandemic and cost of living crisis. Sharing real-time decision-making, difficult conversations, and how to navigate when there is a tsunami of uncontrollable factors – the reality of adapting, accepting and acting are all up for debate!
